  • CONTINENTAL KNITTING

    Karen Aho

Throwing vs. picking, English vs. European...we get confused by the various names for methods of holding the yarn. Continental knitting is the technique of holding your yarn in your LEFT hand and "picking" it through the stitches. It requires a smaller amount of motion than the traditional right handed "throwing" method. That means you create less stress on your body and you'll finish your projects faster!

Skill level: Know how to knit and purl.
