Do you love those beautiful hand-dyed skeins but never know what to make with them? Are you bothered by the random pooling of the colors when you knit or crochet them? Then this is the class for you! You will learn how to read a skein and understand what to craft with it. With a swatch and a little math, you will be able to control the pooling and make it look just like you want it to. In this workshop everyone will have a chance to leave with a working swatch and a cast on project.Skills Required:
- Can knit, purl and count stitches
Class minimum - 2 students
- Any hand-dyed skeins you have that you would like to discuss
- Appropriate size crochet hooks or knitting needles for the yarn you bring as well as a few sizes up and down to make sure you like the drape of your swatch
- Notebook, pen/pencil and calculator (I'll bet your phone has one)
If the class minimum is not met, students will be notified prior to the class start date and a full refund will be given.
