Fundamentals of Hand Embroidery
Come thread your way into the beautiful world of hand embroidery. In this three-part class for true beginners with little or no experience, you will master seven basic embroidery stitches. You will also learn about gorgeous fabrics to stitch upon, and be introduced to the lovely and colorful array and types of embroidery flosses.
During week one, you will learn the basic stitches, including practicing them at home, then week two, stitch your very own stitch dictionary. In week three, you will stitch your first name initial in a decorative font, complete with foliage and flowers. This is a great preparation class to learn to stitch on hand knitted garments and provides a great foundation for other embroidery projects or study.
Skill Requirements: None -Beginner Friendly
Materials:
• 4” hoop
• Embroidery needles
• Cotton embroidery floss
Age minimum - Sixteen years of age
Class minimum - 2 students
If the class minimum is not met, students will be notified prior to the class start date and a full refund will be given.

| Instructor Bio: | I started knitting at age eight then added needlepoint when I turned 11. At the age of thirteen, my grandmother taught me basic embroidery stitches and I became her “helper” embroidering a table cloth form Spain. This experience has stayed with me where currently, I am an online student at the Royal School of Needlework. |
